How do I receive money?

Follow these steps to receive money conveniently:

1) Choose a location. Find a Western Union agent location near you with our agent locator.

2) Provide transfer details. Visit the agent location and provide your sender's name, country, sent amount, and the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN). Also show the agent your government-issued photo ID.

3) Receive money. The money is available right after your details are verified. You’ll also be given a receipt.

Bank account

Have money sent directly to your bank account.

1) Download the mobile app of a Western Union agent.

2) Complete the registration process to connect a bank account with the app.

3) Log in to the app. Choose the Western Union money transfer service and fill out the required details: sender's name, country, sent amount, and the MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number).

4) Select your account in the app to get the money deposited in that account right away.

Once done, you can transfer the money to any bank account in South Korea without any transfer fee.
