    Find and visit your nearest Western Union agent location in Iceland.

  2. Provide money transfer details

    Specify money transfer details to the agent, including sender’s name, country and the sent amount.

  3. Show your ID

    Show your valid personal ID and 10-digit Money Transfer Control Number(MTCN) to the agent.

  4. Collect the money

    The agent will pay out the money and give you a copy of a receipt.

Visit an agent location near you with your government­ issued ID. You will also need to ask the sender for the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).

Locate the ‘Tracking‘ link on the homepage of our website. Then type in the sender’s name and MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number). We will then update you on the latest status of your money transfer. Check your money transfer status now by clicking here.

How much does it cost to receive money?

All transfer fees1 are paid by the sender. Receiving money is free of charge unless the receiver chooses to receive the money in a different currency, to a device or an account which is not part of the money transfer.
